THIRD THURSDAY - Glens Falls Art Walk
< GO BACK
JUNE 2009
This month the Art Walk is proud to feature Get Off the Bus, Inc., a group of true Renaissance men and women in our area; musicians, singers, artists, activists and poets alike gathered together to present living, breathing theater to our community.
Get Off The Bus, Inc. will do a dramatic reading of the 15 minute play Fissures and perform the short plays, LOL, Missing, Grounded and debut a new short play called TBA. All plays are written and directed by Lee Gooden, local award winning poet and playwright.
Fissures: is a humorous and at times disturbing look at the dynamics of marriage. LOL: shows us a funny but thought provoking slice of life of how our technology can actually deter real communication. Missing: is a quick piece that reveals how when one is in love with being in love relationships fall apart from unrealistic expectations. Grounded: is a twenty-first century retelling of the, fall of man from grace with a shocking twist ending.
June also marks the first installment in a series of four films presented as part of the Hyde Collection's Season of Degas. Madeline, the live action film of the beloved French childrens series will show at 6:00 in the Helen Froehlich Auditorium. Please call 792-1761, ext. 27.
