THIRD THURSDAY - Glens Falls Art Walk
< GO BACK
SEPTEMBER 2009
The City Hall Gallery, 42 Ridge St, 2nd Floor, will be
featuring the photography of Gary Larsen. Mr. Larsens photography reveals what is typically unseen by the sense of sight; either because it would otherwise be invisible to ones eyes, or because a perspective is revealed that ones mind has not before considered. Mr. Larsen employs the spectrums of both infrared and traditional color photography to reach these goals.
The Hyde Collection, 161 Warren St., will be continuing the Season of Degas film series. This month, the featured film will be Ratatouille (PG-13), about Remy, a young rat in the French countryside who arrives in Paris, only to find out that his cooking idol is dead. When he makes an unusual alliance with a restaurant's new garbage boy, the culinary and personal adventures begin despite Remy's family's skepticism and the rat-hating world of humans. Films begin at 6 pm and are FREE. Please dont miss this rare opportunity to experience the Hyde Collection at night, as the gallery will remain open until 9 pm.
Red Fox Books, 28 Ridge St., will be hosting local authors Mark DeVit, Laura Lightfoot and Sarah Schaefer as they read selections from their original works.
